Moscow-Part 1

The giant mural in the Nizhny Novgorod train station

I checked out of my hotel & ordered a very cheap Uber taxi to the train station for my morning train to Moscow. The train ride was 4 hours with 6 stops on the way to Moscow.

The seating configuration on the train was weird.  About half seats in the train were facing each other and these seats had about 2/3 of the normal amount of legroom of the other seats.  Unfortunately since it was the day before a holiday, the train was full & I just had to make the best of it.  When I arrived in Moscow, it started snowing.

I only had a short 7 minute walk to the hotel from the subway.  I am staying at the same hotel that I did last year in Moscow.  The location is good and the price is very reasonable.  The lady at the check-in desk told me it was 70 degrees here last week.

Red Square was closed due to the Victory day parade the following morning, so after dinner I decided to head over to the area of Moscow with the new modern skyscrapers.  I was able to take some really good photos the first night, but I brought my tripod with me the 2nd night to get some even better photos.

Here are some of my better shots.
